Causes and Tips on How to Concur 4 Month Sleep Regression.

Sleep regression is the refusal for a baby who has been sleeping well, suddenly changes and refuses to nap or starts to sleeps for shorter intervals. Sleep regression will see the toddler take longer times to fall asleep, and when he or she does, the nap does not last long, thus interfering with the 6 month old baby schedule. Mostly, sleep regression occurs at age 3 or 4 months, age 9 or past one and a half years. We discuss some causes of 4 month sleep regression as well as ways of lessening the effects.

To avoid this problem, any change of diet can be done early morning so that the caregiver can have enough time during the day to monitor any subsequent changes to baby behavior.

Travelling and weather change can also lead to change in sleeping schedule of a 6 months old baby. A toddler who is 6 months old experiences changes in sleeping schedule with the change of weather and surroundings. Some even suffer from cold or flu which affects their sleeping ways. If possible, try not to travel with the toddler especially in cold weather so as to minimize the occurrence of sleep regression. Keep the toddler warm to avoid interfering with the napping schedule of the baby.

Form a sleeping routine that will be followed during bedtimes. Start with an early meal, then a warm bath, followed by a time to read the baby a story before the toddler sleep.
